SAMPREETY CO-OPERATIVE CEDIT UNION LTD.

Sampreety is an initiative of thousands of people. It's a model weapon of a socio-economic development and to build p a better future generation. In some countries of the world, it is the biggest sector of the employment. We all know that co-operative system is a sustainable investment in developing contries. The co-oerative has been played an important role for socio-economic upliftment of poor and middle income group people. It is a much discussed effort of unified initiative for economic self independence of about four crore people attached with co-operative movement directly and indirectly in Bangladesh. In our country the number of the co-operative are more than lakh. Sampreety has been playing a pioneering role among those co-opratives in the country starting its journey since 18th December 1989. There are only five members and initial capital was only Tk. 120.00 (one hundred and twenty taka). The working area was in the Dhaka city which is the capital of Bangladesh. For last 19 years with relentless efforts, it gained an inverse success on saving and micro finance activities.

Sampreety has its total membership 3370 (Female 2160 and Male 1210) and total capital is Tk. 5,59,75,234.00 (five crore fifty nine lakh seventy five thousands two hundreds and thirty four taka). We can claim that Sampreety has ignated light of hope in the lower and middle income group people in our country. The initial committee has started under a dynamic leadeship and has gained institutional shape which is a grand success for the committee.

The co-operative credit union league of Bangladesh limited (CCULB) is the national credit union of Bangladesh which is a federal body of the cooperative credit unions. According to CCULB report Sampreety got the highest honour and stood first in relation with more member collection, second in relation with savings collection, third inrelation with accumulating fund raising. For this performance Sampreety acquired the honour in the co-operative sector of the country. More over, in 2002 it has acquired Father Young Foundation Gold Medal as its brilliant success in the co-operative movement.

Working Area

Initially in 2001, the cooperative directorate permitted Sampreety to work in the whole Dhaka city that has been spreaded up to Dhaka division.
